The PLP Diamond System is a complete, matched diamond polishing system built for planetary concrete grinders — nine coordinated metal- and resin-bond tools (numbered #1–#9) that take concrete from the first grind to a high-gloss polished finish. Like the EGT system, it runs entirely dry, and every tool is color-coded yellow so you always know you’re running a matched set. As STI puts it: it’s a system, not a machine.

Built for Planetary Grinders

The PLP System is designed for planetary machines sized 770–950mm, 15–24 HP, and 800–1,000 lbs — the larger planetary grinders used for production polishing. Tool count and pad adapters depend on your machine’s size.

How the PLP System Works

A defined 9-step, all-dry sequence, with the machine on dust collection throughout:

• Steps #1–#3 — metal-bond tools (patented EG attachment) to grind and open the surface
• Step #4 — first resin-bond step, followed by a densifier application
• Steps #5–#9 — resin-bond tools that refine and polish to a high gloss

Running the tools in numbered order delivers a consistent, repeatable finish — fully dry, no slurry to manage.

• #3 — metal-bond tool, ~30,000 SF life
• #4–#9 — resin-bond polishing tools, yellow Velcro, ~15,000 SF life each

• 650–750mm machines: 9 tools (steps #1–4 & #6–9), 12 tools (step #5)
• 750–800mm & 800mm+ machines: 12 tools (steps #1–4 & #6–9), 18 tools (step #5)

Tools mount with full-face Velcro pad adapters sized to your machine.

Is Your Floor a Candidate?

The concrete should be clean of coatings and adhesives (a #0 Prep Tool handles prep if needed), at least 4,250 PSI (29 MPa), and over 28 days old. A 100 SF mock-up is recommended before any full job. Call us and we’ll help you check.
