Smith’s Poly PCF-45 is a fast-setting, low-viscosity 2-component polyurethane for filling cracks, spalls, pop-outs, holes, and voids in concrete — the repair step that gets a floor ready for polishing or coating. Its low viscosity lets it penetrate everything from hairline cracks to deep voids (extended with sand), and it cures fast enough to grind in as little as 15 minutes and take heavy traffic within an hour. A convenient 1:1 mix, no primer needed.

Key Features

  • Fills cracks, spalls, pop-outs, holes, and voids in concrete
  • Fast return to service — grind in 15–60 minutes; heavy traffic in ~1 hour
  • Low viscosity — penetrates hairline cracks; extend with sand for deep repairs
  • 1:1 mix ratio — easy to measure and mix; no primer needed
  • Tenacious bond to prepared concrete (650 psi — the concrete fails first)
  • Chemical- and impact-resistant with good load transfer
  • Feather edge to any depth (with aggregate extension)
  • Interior/exterior, above or below grade — even freezer/chiller floors and radiant-heat floors
  • Doubles as a pit grout for polished concrete

What It’s For

  • Crack filling — static, non-moving cracks
  • Patching — spalls, pop-outs, gouges, holes, and surface imperfections
  • Pit grout for the concrete polishing process
  • Rebuilding control-joint walls
  • Repairs before coating — patch, then apply a Smith’s epoxy system (surface diamond-ground first)
  • Freezer/chiller floors, suspended decks (parking, bridges, catwalks), radiant-heat floors.

Fast Return to Service

The big advantage of PCF-45 is speed. With a 4-minute pot life it sets fast, and you can diamond grind it smooth in as little as 15–60 minutes and put heavy traffic on it within an hour. For contractors, that means repair, grind, and keep moving — no waiting overnight for patches to cure. Full chemical resistance develops over 2–3 days

Important to Know

Work fast — the 4-minute pot life means mixing only what you can place in that window

Not UV-stable — will yellow with UV exposure; fine below coatings or where UV isn’t a concern

For static (non-moving) cracks — moving joints should be recut and filled with an appropriate joint filler

Deep/wide repairs need sand or stone aggregate extension (anything wider/deeper than 1/16″)

Do not spray — contains isocyanate; pour/trowel application only
